complete removal of coolplayer

Hi!

I have to say that CoolPlayer is a really, well, cool player, and when I had it I set it as my default player.

But I chose to remove it from my system as I switched to GOM player instead.

The problem is, that when I open a music folder in Windows Explorer, even though I have set GOM as my default player, the tracks are still listed under 'file type' as "coolplayer.Audio'.

I've tried everything I can think of to change this, including searching the registry for coolplayer references and deleting them, but still the listing remains.

Can anyone please tell me how to fix this?

Thanks.

Al.

I had the same problem. Even though I deleted CoolPlayer, it was still showing up in my right-click menu for everything, even Recycle Bin! I was able to correct the problem by using the registry scanner in CCleaner.
